Terms of service
Last updated 26 October 2026
These terms apply when you create an account on mysongrequest.uk (the "service"), which is provided by Lee James Apps, a sole trader in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them. Contact: lee@leejamesapps.co.uk.
1. The service
The service gives DJs a guest request and voting page, a set and song manager, and a client planning page. Your guests and clients use it without an account.
2. Your account
- You must give a working email address and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- The service is for businesses and working DJs. You must be 18 or over to hold an account.
3. Free trial, plans and payment
- New accounts get a 30-day free trial. No card is needed to start, and nothing is charged unless you choose a plan.
- Plans are £10 a month or £100 a year, paid in advance by card through Stripe. The plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription & billing. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't give refunds for part-used periods, except where the law requires it.
- If a payment fails, Stripe will retry. If it still can't be taken, your plan ends and creating new gigs is paused until you subscribe again; your existing data is kept.
- We'll give at least 30 days' notice by email of any price change, and it applies from your next renewal.
4. Your content and your guests
- You own your content: your events, song lists, branding, and the requests and planning details your guests and clients send you.
- You give us permission to store and display it only so we can run the service for you.
- For your guests' and clients' personal information, you are the controller and we process it for you as described in our privacy notice, which forms our data processing terms with you. Only use the service to collect information you are entitled to collect.
- You're responsible for checking that the music you play is properly licensed for your events.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use the service to break the law, to harass or deceive people, to send spam, or to upload anything you don't have the right to use. Don't try to break, overload or get around the service's security or limits. We may suspend an account that does any of these, and will tell you why where we can.
6. Availability
We work hard to keep the service running, especially during evenings and weekends when gigs happen, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. Please keep a fallback (such as taking requests in person) for important events.
7. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
- Otherwise, we are not liable for loss of profits, business or goodwill, or for indirect losses.
- Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
8. Ending your account
You can close your account at any time by emailing us; we'll cancel any subscription and delete your data, as set out in the privacy notice. We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we ever stop running the service, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and refund any unused part of a yearly plan.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll email account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
